What is Veeam Cloud Connect - Backup



Veeam Cloud Connect Backup makes it easy for Veeam customers to extend their backup infrastructure to the cloud. When you are running Veeam Availability Suite on your servers, you can select DP Unicom as a target for your offsite backups and increase your backup resilience. You are also able to rent the software on your premises.

High Security Infrastructure

The DP Unicom infrastructure utilises network dDOS mitigation, and Fortinet Realtime Unified Threat Management devices along with Secure SSL layer for secure connections between the client and offsite backup infrastructure.

Enterprise Availability System

The Veeam Cloud Connect service operated by DP Unicom is built on Enterprise, high availability and fault tolerence systems that provide continuous operation. The system is connected to dual power and UPS systems, battery-backed caching and connected to a mission-critical network providing you with guaranteed operation for when you need to depend on your backup resiliency.

Why Veeam Cloud Connect?

Veeam Cloud Connect makes it easy to get your backups off site a hosted backup repository (called a cloud repository) without the cost and complexity of managing a second site. Cloud Connect is:

  • Seamless — Use your cloud repository just like a local Veeam-powered backup repository. Simply open the Veeam backup console and make your cloud repository a target for any backup or backup copy job. There are no additional downloads or additional Veeam licensing required! Cloud Connect is included in any paid edition of Veeam Availability Suite, Backup & Replication, and Backup Essentials, v8 or later.
  • Efficient — Leverages forever-incremental backups, in-cloud synthetic fulls, Built-in WAN Acceleration (in Enterprise Plus edition) and more to minimize data transfer while maximizing restore points. Get your backups off site quickly and easily without adding bandwidth.
  • Secure — Rest easy by encrypting your data at source, in flight and at rest, without negatively impacting data transfer to the cloud (thanks to content-aware compression and WAN Acceleration). Cloud Connect’s multi-tenant capabilities also ensure that your data is as safe and confidential as it would be in your own offsite repository.

Get Started Now!

  1. Install Veeam Backup & Replication Suite on your Servers
  2. Subscribe to a Cloud Connect Storage plan and license the appropriate number of VM’s for use
  3. Select Cloud Connect as a backup target from your Server
  4. Select DP Unicom as the provider
  5. Transfer backups to Cloud Connect
  6. Restore Backups as necessary

Protected Backups

Veeam Protected Backup license fees:

  • Backup Physical Server - $14.00 per month per server
  • Backup VM Server - $11.00 per month per server
  • Backup Workstation - $4.50 per month per workstation

Storage Capacity

  • Total Storage can be shared between all VM's
  • System retention can be controlled as part of the storage allocation.
